My Pool Pal® -- Proud Sponsor of CVS/Pharmacy Charity Golf Tournament

Thursday June 21, 2007 - Gainesville, GA – On May 8th, CVS/Pharmacy hosted its first annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Easter Seals North Georgia at the Trophy Club in Alpharetta. My Pool Pal® was one of many sponsors present while approximately $35,000 was raised to provide services to local children with Autism through Easter Seals North Georgia. In addition to numerous golfers participating from CVS, My Pool Pal® joined companies such as Coca Cola, Pepsi, Toshiba Business Solutions, Mayfield Dairy, UPS, etc. in an effort to raise money for such a worth cause.

Over the last 20 years, Easter Seals has seen a dramatic increase in the number of children and adults with autism the organization serves. Today, as many as one in every 150 children is diagnosed with autism* - that’s a new diagnosis every 20 minutes – making autism more prevalent than Down Syndrome, childhood diabetes, and childhood cancer combined.
